Chocolate lovers heaven………….

It’s no secret I have a sweet tooth and chocolate is a particular favourite of mine, I used to have no issue eating the entire block but not any more,  well not since discovering how easy it was to make Raw chocolate.

The other night I was at my good friend Kylie from Valley Esentials place and she wanted to make raw chocolate for a workshop that night. It was about 5:45 and guests were due at around 6:30 no stress a quick search of the Doterra site found the following recipe .

I can honestly say it was so quick and easy to do, not too mention absolutely bloody delicious that I have made another batch today with a few changes to the ingredients mainly because I didn’t have some of the ingredients.

3/4 cup raw cacao powder
1 cup coconut oil, liquified
Pinch of Sea Salt
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 drops Cinnamon Bark oil
14 drops Lime essential oil
6 drops Black Pepper essential oil
1/2 Tbsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp MACA powder (for more information on the benefit of MACA powder go here )
Chopped Goji Berries
Chopped Pistachios

Mix all ingredients together
Pour into your moulds or onto a tray

This is so yummy and satisfying that I find 2 pieces is enough for me. I will be working on this recipe for my Adults after Dark workshop, to get tickets please go here .

It must be time for a cuppa now and a piece of chocolate.

All in a day’s work…………..

Lately I  have been unmotivated, overwhelmed and highly strung to say the least. There has been so much going on in mine and the girls life I was honestly starting to wonder when I would get a break….

I had these beautiful oils but I wasn’t really using them, what I mean is I was diffusing them, but I wasn’t really getting the most out of them. So I set off on a search for some basic recipes.

First stop was a bathroom cleaner – I’m not one to buy cleaners, I think my Nan put me off she has an amazing collection and has now gone back to basics.

Nan’s old cleaning supplies

I found a recipe that called for very few ingredients just vinegar, water and Essential Oils I chose Lemon, Tea Tree, Protecting Blend and Clove Oil. Just spray leave for half an hour, scrub and rinse. I hate cleaning yet I found this so easy to do and let’s not forget the cost savings.

A days work

I’ll pop the recipes up for all the additional products soon.

After I’ve cleaned the bathroom again (gastro has hit argh)

What are your favourite recipes?

Pikelets how we love thee

My girls love pikelets and they are especially handy to make for dance canteen duties, I had previously been making them without adding  essential oils to flavour them however on the weekend I decided to be brave and try them with added flavours.

1 cup self raising flour (I used white, next time I am going to try gluten free)

½ cup dextrose

¾ cup milk (I used full cream)

1 egg

3 drops Orange essential oil

Melted butter or similar to grease pan

Butter or margarine to serve

Sift flour and dextrose together into a bowl with a pinch of salt (I used Pink Himalayan Salt

Whisk milk, egg and essential oil together, then add to dry ingredients, whisking until smooth

Heat a non-stick frypan over medium heat. Grease pan. Drop level tablespoons of mixture into the pan and cook for half a minute or until bubbles appear on the surface

Turn over and cook the other side for 1 minute until golden

Allow to cool and serve with butter.

I have to say they were a huge hit with my girls and the others that sampled them. If you would like to know more about the essential oils I use and recommend please submit the contact form.

Flavoured water

I have never been a fan of flavoured water, usually favouring the likes of Coke, Pepsi etc (I know not exactly healthy for me or my wallet).

Since discovering essential oils in the heat of Summer, I started adding them to soda water for a refreshing drink.

So far I have experimented with these combinations

Orange & Lime – love this combo especially after a tiring day

Grapefruit – Ok so I don’t enjoy the fruit but in an oil and added to water its devine

Lemon – WOW!! That is all I am in love with this one

Let me know your favourite combination
